SAMPLE PREP - Join Our Team in a Key Role at the Port!
Programmed Skilled Workforce are seeking dedicated Mining Port Samplers to join our client's operation located in the Karratha region of WA working a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth. Our Client is a global leader in the iron ore industry and is recognized for their innovation and development of world class infrastructure and mining assets.
This role is ideal for someone who is eager to contribute to the quality control process at our client's port facilities while also gaining valuable skills in operating heavy machinery. Roster 2 & 1 days & nights
Role Requirements:
* Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screen
* Valid unrestricted manual Australian Driver's License
* HR drivers' license
* Comfortable working day & night shift
* MSIC card - or willing to obtain at own cost
* Clean Shaven
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and handle various weather conditions
* Previous experience in mining, logistics, or port operations is preferred but not mandatory
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Key Responsibilities:
* Sampling & Quality Control: Collect and manage bulk material samples to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
* Equipment Operation: Assist in operating port equipment such as the reclaimer, stacker, barge loader, telehandler, VAC truck, and small loaders/skid steers.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sample collection, equipment usage, and any maintenance activities in line with company policies.
* Safety Protocols: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
* Maintenance Assistance: Support routine equipment checks and perform minor maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is operating at peak performance.
Upskilling & Development Opportunities:
* Receive training and certification in operating key port equipment, including reclaimer, stacker, barge loader, telehandler, VAC truck, and small loader/skid steer.
